RE: Oil Seals for MB2A50S
What seals do you need? the one for the shifting rod in the lower unit or the one driving the gear on the lower unit.

If Howard doesn't have them, I can give you the spec for the shifting gear. Size and everything. They are easy to buy at any bearing dealers.

Bye

John.

Hi

By the way the the boat with the poorly saildrive is a 21 ft Sailing Cruiser. 1980 Mk2 Corribee called The Matthew Swain. A pretty boat which has given me and the family loads of great sailing.

Cheers

Carl

RE: Oil Seals for MB2A50S
Hi Matty

I see what seal you mean.

1- Where are your from?
2- I have the micro-film of the engine with the part number from Honda. My friend is a Honda dealer.
3- What year is the engine and I will need the serial number something like: bf75xxxxxxxxx stamped on the engine, not the lower unit.

With that I should be able to tell you how to get it.

Cheers

John

The micro-fiche from Honda is numbered : 1388104 and seem to be found at: http://www.cmsnl.com/products/pl-bf75-100-z_1388104/

The seal you are looking for on that micro-fiche has number 91255-88-003 and 004.

Volvo use part number 3579258-9

I noticed that the head is Honda but he intern housing is Volvo.

Si I imagine that Volvo has used the Honda seal. Sorry but that is all I can provide you. Good luck
